negative space

Sometimes we get caught up with filling the void, but there’s something so refreshing when preserving the purity and exquisiteness of empty space. Like… gazing through an empty, colorless corner, with an offering of limitless thoughts. Flipping through a notebook of blank pages with stories untold, leaving it to your third eye to behold. The cleanliness of a printed text or image expressively descriptive as it already is without customization, labels, portraying possible confusion or disturbances. An empty space filled with nothing but fresh air. An unscented aroma without polluting the building blocks of life and giving you ability to inhale and exhale freely as can be. A simple plate with a nutritious meal to savor and consume without excess and harm. That one clean, white T-shirt you can wear repeatedly and never get tired of. Or a blank canvas awaiting for your brainstorm to clash and create a masterpiece. The possibilities are endless.

A space filled with clutter is no space to begin with. Once you have emptied that space and start from zero with the things that matter most, the things you utilize most and the things you cherish most, you will be able to freely be yourself without a hold. Simplicity is a beauty of its own from the calmness of a tune or silence at its moment. Nothing to judge except “It’s bland, it needs something, or too plain,” which in fact is not a judgment at all. Let the aesthetics of simplicity speak for itself and let your mind wander within the nothingness of reality.

Picture yourself in the most vast space and the only detail being you. You would learn far more from yourself without the criticism, policies, and fallacies that revolve around you with a negative cause. Starting from nothing made you something. Nothingness gives you the ability to create and innovate freely without considering it another humdrum perception. Thinking and pursuing deep in thought without distractions. Too much may lead to surpassing an important detail you may have missed. Constructing your own minimal path leads you to something much greater. There’s no need in adding on if taking away makes it better.
